He earned his Bachelor's degree from Sunan Ampel State Islamic University in 1987, obtained his Master's degree from Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University in 1990, and received his Doctorate in Islamic Education from the same university in 2008.
He was appointed as a Commissioner of PJUC based on the Shareholders' Decision Deed dated March 16, 2022.
He has had a career spanning over 30 years across various organizations, beginning with his role as General Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in Jember Regency from 1991 to 1996. He continued his career as Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council of East Java for the 2020–2025 period. In addition to his role in MUI, he has also served in Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) as a Member of the Board of Experts of the Central Board of the Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (PP ISNU) since 2013.

Prior to being appointed as President Director of PT Raharja Energi Cepu Tbk, he held several key positions, including President Commissioner of PT Raharja Energi Cepu Tbk (2024 – 2025), Director of PT Rukun Raharja Tbk (2021 – 2025), Commissioner and Chairperson of the Audit and GCG Committee at PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (2019 – 2020), Advisor at PT Usahatama Mandiri Nusantara (2015 – 2020), Finance Director at PT Sarana Patra Hulu Cepu / Regional Government-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) of East Java Province (2015 – 2016), Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at PT Karya Bumi Baratama (2012 – 2014), and General Affairs Manager at PT Kalrez Petroleum Ltd. She graduated from Petroleum Engineering Department, Institut Teknologi Bandung in 1995; Postgraduated Diploma in Geothermal Engineering, Auckland University, New Zealand; Magister Management in Pasca Sarjana Dept., specialization in Human Resources Development, Atmajaya University, Jakarta in 2004. Currently she is taking Doctoral in Science Management program in School of Business and Management (SBM), Institut Teknologi Bandung.
Served as a Techincal Director PJUC since 2018. Before, she was a member of the Board of Commissioners PJUC since 2014 - present. Before joining PJUC, she worked for ExxonMobil Cepu Limited/EMCL (2008-2014). Previously she worked at PT. Schlumberger Geophysics Nusantara (1997-2001) as Reservoir Support Engineer then followed her husband to Brunei Darussalam and worked as a Match and Geography Teacher in St. Georges Secondary School, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darrusalam (2002-2008).

Prior to being appointed as Director of PT Raharja Energi Cepu Tbk, he held several key positions, including Deputy Finance Director at PT Raharja Energi Cepu Tbk (2025), GM – Business Development at PT Chandra Daya Investasi (2024 – present), Associate Director, Investment Banking – Advisory Division at PT Mandiri Sekuritas (2022 – 2025), Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking (Oil & Gas and Mining Sector) at PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (2017 – 2022), Sales Engineer at Control Systems Arena Para Nusa (2016 – 2017), Reservoir Engineer at Total E&P Indonesia (2014 – 2015), and Reservoir – Production Engineer at Schlumberger (2012 – 2014).
